About Me

I am Joywonder Franetta Frank, known artistically as Joy Afro - a writer, musician, and creative visionary. My work is shaped by Faith resilience, and a deep believed in transformation. Through books, music, art and design, I create spaces that invite reflection, healing, and purposeful living.

Creativity has always been more than expression for me. It is a language. A refuge. A way of returning to myself.

I was born and raised in West Africa Liberia, where creativity became both my safe space and my voice. From an early age, I learned that art could hold what words could not, grief, hope, identity, and freedom. Overtime I learned that creativity is not just something we make; it’s something that restores us and connect us to who we truly are.

My debut book, The Art of Becoming: A Journey of Self-Discovery , Creativity, and Purpose, waves personal testimony with reflections on faith, courage, and growth. It is not only my story, but an invitation to slow down, to listen inward, and to become who you were created to be.

Through everything I create, books, music, art, and intentional objects, I want to remind people of this truth, you are not defined by your past, but by the purpose God placed within you.

My mission is simple:

  • 🌸 To help people return to themselves through creativity.

  • 🦋 To honor growth, transformation and becoming.

  • 🎶 To create gentle spaces that feel warm, authentic , and alive.

    Welcome to my World
